Body fillers are hyaluronic acid gels made for large treatment areas. Where a facial filler comes in a 1 mL syringe, a body filler is supplied in 10 mL syringes or in bottles of 50–60 mL and more. Clinics use them for non-surgical body contouring when a patient wants volume or a smoother contour without surgery. This article explains how body fillers differ from facial ones and what to compare when choosing a product.
How body fillers differ from facial fillers
- Volume. Body areas need tens of millilitres, so products are packed in large syringes or bottles. Bottled gels are drawn into syringes before injection.
- Gel firmness. Body fillers are usually firm, highly cross-linked gels designed to hold shape under the weight and movement of the body.
- Technique. Large volumes are usually placed with blunt cannulas through a small number of entry points, deeper than facial fillers.
- Lidocaine. Some body fillers contain lidocaine for comfort, others do not; this is listed in the composition.
What to compare between products
When you compare body fillers, look at the same points as for facial ones, plus format:
- HA concentration in mg/mL and whether the gel is mono- or biphasic, as stated by the manufacturer.
- Package: 10 mL syringes are convenient for smaller areas and touch-ups; 50–60 mL bottles or large syringes are more economical for full treatments.
- Presence of lidocaine.
- Indications listed by the manufacturer. Approved areas differ between products and countries, so always check the instructions for use of the specific product.
- Price per millilitre rather than per box — packages differ a lot in volume.

What else the clinic needs
Large-volume procedures usually need long blunt cannulas, larger syringes, a numbing cream or local anaesthetic and a dissolver on hand. You can order cannulas, numbing creams and hyaluronidase in the same order. Hyaluronidase works on HA body fillers as well as facial ones — read more in our hyaluronidase guide.
Delivery in the UAE and GCC
Body fillers are heavier than facial products, so the parcel weight and delivery cost are higher. Orders ship insured from Korea by DHL, FedEx or EMS, with tracking. For regular clinic volumes, ask about wholesale pricing.
